Straight time is the hourly wage times the regular hours. Overtime is the wage times 1.5 times the overtime hours. Double time, where you enter those hours, is the wage times 2. The week’s gross pay adds those pieces. The page does not decide whether the hours legally require overtime.
A $20 wage for 40 regular hours is $800. Ten overtime hours at 1.5 add $300. Gross pay for that week is $1,100 before tax. Tax is the paycheck page, not this one.
It does not decide whether US federal overtime, a state daily overtime rule, or a Canadian provincial rule applies to the job. Exemptions for salaried workers are not tested.
