Take-home pay is split 50% to needs, 30% to wants, and 20% to savings. Needs are half of the pay you enter. Wants are 30%. Savings are 20%. The split is a planning guide. The page also shows the amounts you type for actual spending so you can see the gap.
Take-home pay of $5,000 a month assigns $2,500 to needs, $1,500 to wants, and $1,000 to savings. If rent alone is $2,200, most of the needs bucket is already used. The page does not move the rent. It shows the bucket.
It is not a budget you must follow. Taxes are already out if the pay you typed is take-home. Gross pay should go through the paycheck page first.
